ConverterTechnology will be onsite at Microsoft TechEd North America, May, 16-19, 2011, to demonstrate their full suite of Microsoft Office migration tools.
TechEd is the premier technology event of the year for IT professionals and developers. The event provides a forum for training, networking and connecting with Microsoft experts and learning about the most innovative Microsoft products and services in the marketplace today.
“We’re thrilled to be participating in TechEd. We look forward to spotlighting ConverterTechnology’s full suite of tools at this event, and explaining how our products can streamline the migration process,” said Shawn Allaway, President of ConverterTechnology. “The time for enterprises to invest in a Windows 7 and Office 2010 upgrade is now.”
In fact, according to a recent Forrester Research Inc. report, the reasons to invest in a Microsoft upgrade include providing a more reliable, higher-performing computing environment, improving productivity, optimizing desktop infrastructure, increasing protection of the PC environment and improving user satisfaction. The report adds that Windows 7 has quickly become the standard for most new corporate PCs. Because of these benefits, Microsoft Office migrations are expected to increase by 7% in 2011. Their research also indicates that 88% of businesses plan to migrate to Windows 7, and 46% are planning a migration within the next 12 months.
ConverterTechnology’s innovative suite of tools manages, tracks and reports on the entire migration process, including planning, workflow, discovering critical Office files, identifying compatibility issues and automating remediation. While at the show (Booth #1828), the ConverterTechnology team will explain the value of their products, including their newest offering, Click2Fix.
Click2Fix is an online file submittal portal that provides a predefined workflow process, streamlining communication between end-users and IT departments. It offers significant benefits, including reducing remediation time, providing faster access to fixed files, and increasing productivity for IT departments and end-users.
ConverterTechnology will also be presenting the beta version of their soon-to-launch product (code name: Orion) at TechEd. When files are converted from Office 2003 to Office 2010, the file extensions get changed, and any links to these files will be broken. This new tool automatically fixes the broken links in a document with one click. Orion also displays a list of all links in the document, and can even be filtered to display only broken (or working) links. This tool, which is available for Excel and Word, is scheduled to officially launch in June.
ConverterTechnology is the only company to provide a comprehensive, automated Microsoft Windows and Office migration solution that manages, tracks and reports on the entire process. The company’s innovative suite of tools brings tremendous value to the migration process, including planning, workflow, discovering critical Office files, identifying compatibility issues and automating remediation.
ConverterTechnology has worked with industry leaders, including Fortune 500 companies, global financial and pharmaceutical corporations and the world’s most renowned theme park.
